Day 9 challenge

I used a technique I saw on “Hello Monday” by Julie Ebersol. I just love her cards. I used the Memory box dies on double adhesive paper and burnished the glitter into the background and then into the flower die using different colors of glitter. The background was used by dabbing Copic markers and then blending it out with the colorless blender. I like the fact that it doesn’t look like a die cut but rather a painting. Enjoy!Day 9 challenge cardDay 9 challenge

Day 8 Challenge

This card turned out better than expected! I just love the kitties, especially the one out in the rain. The card was made with PoppyStamps Small Madison Window accented with Glossy Accents on acetate to make the rain. The clouds were made with distress inks. The chair is from Sizzix Hero Arts Chandeliers stamps and dies and the cats, of course, are Impression Obsession. The wainscoting was made by cutting strips of white paper and gluing them together. Day 8 challengeNo Place like home card view 1No Place like home card view 2 detail

Day 7 Challenge

Today, I saw that I hadn’t made a sympathy card in a while so here goes! I used Memory Box Chloe Stems. I made foam cuttings first and used them as a stamp (saw on Jennifer McGuire) and then used the cuttings. I think it’s beautiful in its simplicity.Day 7 challengeDay 7 Challenge Card

Day 5

I’ve been feeling a tad melancholy and thought that a snow scene was due. I used to love the silence of the snow falling and collecting on things. Use Memory Box and Poppystamps dies for this one. I adore that snow paint that puffs up when heated but it took a while for me to learn how to use it. The background was made using Tim Holtz distress inks, vellum and Lindy’s Moon shadow mist and irRESISTible pico embellisher.

Day 3 challenge L’Amour

For my challenge of the day I pulled up an older die by Mariannedesign Collectables L’amour. It’s adorable and I have used it in several other cards in the past for anniversaries and such. I also continued to use those remaining hearts from Heart Canopy by Memory Box. Day 4 challenge

Day 2 Personal Challenge

Day 2! So far so good! I recently received the Penny Black Homemade stamp set and I just love them. I was inspired by some 3 D effect cards by Debbie Yates from her Scrapjourney blog. I love the effect!

Anyway, besides using the Penny Black stamp I used Memory Box Heart Canopy and Essentials by Ellen “Love You So” stamps (of which, I’ve had in my stash for quite a while and have never used!) Shame on me because they are so fun! cardchallange day 2Needless to say, I have hearts (after using a bunch for another Valentine Day card and one that just flopped and filed away in the trash) all over the place. LOL

Anyway, here are my cards. Hope you enjoy them just as much as I enjoyed making them!

Personal Challenge

So, when going through my supplies (dies and stamps) for my card making I noticed that there were a few (ok…quite a few) dies and stamps that I’ve bought in the past couple of years with the intent to use but never got around to it. I just purchased more supplies like glue and beads (and a few dies that were on sale) that I am running low on.  That said, I don’t like to buy and not use so I’ve come up with a personal challenge to make a card everyday using all of my dies and/or stamps. Wish me luck!!!!!
